TEAM, Inc. was established in 1989 by the late Honorable Robinson O. Everett Sr to manage the Everett family portfolio of apartment communities. From then to now, TEAM’s commitment to provide its residents excellent management service has never wavered.
Chief Executive Officer & President Robinson O. Everett, Jr.
Rob brings a diverse work history to bear on his role as CEO. A 1990 graduate of Harvard College, Rob spent twelve years teaching and coaching in independent secondary schools in Los Angeles. In 2005, Rob returned to his native Durham and entered the UNC School of Law, from which he received his J.D. in 2008. Rob practiced law in Raleigh the year after graduating. He remains a current member of the American, North Carolina, and Wake County Bar Associations.
After the passing of his father in 2009, Rob left active law practice in order to manage his family’s real estate holdings. He is currently responsible for managing multifamily housing assets in Durham and Fayetteville, NC, as well as the Erwin Terrace commercial property in Durham, NC. Rob obtained his real estate broker’s license in 2010, and he currently serves as TEAM’s broker-in-charge.
In his spare time, Rob enjoys staying involved in his community. He is an active member of the Downtown Durham Rotary and serves as a board member for The Bennett Place state historical site and for The Forest at Duke continuing care retirement community. Rob lives in Durham with his wife Elizabeth and children Henry and Cate.
Chief Operating Officer Heather W. Smith
After receiving a B.A. in Psychology at UNC Chapel Hill in 2000, Heather began her adult work life in the insurance industry. By 2003, Heather realized that she preferred real estate to insurance, and immediately began building her career at TEAM Inc. Over successive three year periods Heather served as leasing consultant, assistant manager, and property manager of all Durham properties. In 2013, Heather was named Chief Operating Officer and Treasurer. Heather is in charge of reconciling and approving operating statements for all assets managed by TEAM, and she also handles all human resource functions for the company.
In addition to her degree from UNC, Heather holds several other designations recognized by the Triangle Apartment Association and the National Apartment Association, including: National Apartment Leasing Professional, Certified Apartment Manager, and Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor. She is a Notary Public and received her real estate license in 2016.
In her spare time Heather relishes spending time with her husband, Greg, and two young daughters, Emma and Anna.
